Ear Cartilage Piercing ?

Okay so i got my right ear cartilage (top of ear) pierced like 5 days ago , with a gun , and after i got it pierced it was really sore , it's still sore when i touch it and i can't sleep on it still, its started getting a little swollen yesterday . i used to be able to see the actual post but now i cant BUT i can still see the entire top of the earring, im not even sure if its swollen i might be imagining it ! i clean it 2-3 times a day , also i have like thick earlobes? compared to my friends (we all got them done together) they said mine seemed thicker than their .. and ALSO i just got my ears double pierced 3 weeks ago at the same place and those even seemed sore for about 2 days? i NEED to know is everything normal ? am i starting to panic for no reason and what should i do !
