Is it normal or am i just misreading things?

long story short i met a woman with great personality, the whole 9 if you will. I did i have interest in her for some time but i moved on. As soon as I found out about her boyfriend well at least i think they are together according to facebook. I simply decided to move on. well it turns out that she approached me and started to hang out for long periods of time almost every single day for at least 6 months we still hang out but i placed her in the friend zone because of the simple fact. and how do i know they are still together? because i had to ask after 6 months of meeting her. my question is. Is it normal for a woman to conceal their relationship status? or is just me, mind you she constantly asking me out to hang out just her and me, and always sending me strange messages. The other day we hung out and i told her that i was seeing someone that i had broken up with. I mean she is a friend i should be able to tell her stuff like this right? well anyways she got extremely defensive and angry like but after i told her that i had ended it was a different atmosphere like a sudden change in emotion. Are they still together? yeah because i asked again how things where going but I'm a bit annoyed that we talk about almost everything but not her boyfriend. So is it normal for her to still keep concealing her relationship status?
