Why has he become so bloody clingy?!!?

My boyfriend of 8yrs, who recently moved in with me, has suddenly become so frigging clingy! Everyday without fail he asks if I still want to be with him, if my feelings have changed etc and it's so bloody annoying! He says that since we moved in together I have changed, the only way I have changed is that I am finally starting to regain my trust in him (he has lied to me about other girls before). Because I don't constantly pester him about other girls he thinks that I don't want to be with him anymore. Ive told him how clingy he has become and he doesn't believe me. He even asks if I dream about him all the time and thinks its a sign that my feelings have changed because I don't have nightmares about him cheating anymore!!?! What can I do about this? I mean he even wants to know who I have spoken to, when, where and why. He went through my phone and said I was a lyer because I misread a txt from my sister thinking it said 'use' when it said 'u'?! Please help! He's put me in a 'cage' and its driving me nuts!
